Win Fall Out Boy
goodies.

FALL OUT BOY’s latest album ‘Folie A
Deux’ is released Monday 15th December and despite the
band’s obvious appeal, they refuse to pander to critics. Bassist /
lyricist Pete Wentz proclaimed “Honestly, we have never been a
critically acclaimed band or ‘cool’ band, but we have always moved
the needle because of our fans and we don’t want that to change”
shortly before finishing the new record. Despite having developed
their sound over the course of their previous albums to get to the
point they find themselves at with ‘Folie A Deux’, Fall Out Boy
are essentially the same band, full of insanely catchy hooks and
choruses. They’ve also diversified their sound to encompass all
that they’ve been through in the past seven years.
‘Folie’ features a number of rather
famous cameos and the impressive ‘What a Catch, Donnie’ is a
slow-building, all-star singalong featuring Elvis Costello, Panic
at the Disco’s Brendon Urie, Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis
McCoy, Alex deLeon of The Cab and William Beckett of The Academy
Is. Other intrinsically cool guest appearances come from Lil Wayne
who makes an appearance on the hip-hop tinged ‘Tiffany Blews’ and
The Neptunes who take over production duties on ‘w.a.m.s’.
